Continue reading…Up the twisty turny coastal route 1! we stopped by the amazing Hearst Castle and enjoyed the views of the coast. It was a beautiful clear day and the landscape was amazing.
Continue reading…We had many stops on this California coastal drive. One of the things we wanted so badly to see was olive groves since they are so prevalent in CA. After searching for quite a bit we landed on Pasolivo in Paso Robles.
Continue reading…Just a little ways from the Channel Islands National Park Visitors Center we found a great group of campgrounds at Carpinteria State Beach. They were named after the Channel Islands and were located on the beach with lots of grassy areas to play on and access to a bike path that led right into town! The only down side, which was a big loud one, was the train tracks, with passenger trains that blasted horns blaring just past Wobbles. Ha!
Continue reading…Okay, so we didn’t actually go on the Islands! The boats were all cancelled due to the crazy winds plus it was pretty pricy. However, the visitor center had an overflowing amount of information for us to soak up. Just as we love and as it should be.
Continue reading…We arrived at this campground around dinner time through fierce winds and a rain storm. It was a weekend but we thought for sure the campground would be nearly empty due to the weather. We thought wrong.
