As you saw in our last post, we had quite the laundry saga so our day to explore Tucson became the day to retrieve laundry and let the girls play.
Justin ended up leaving around 7:30am to fix his mistake. Justin and I contemplated having the girls and I dropped off downtown to explore while Justin got the laundry, but because the drive to the laundromat was 5 hours round trip with no traffic we decided against it. And boy, I’m so glad we did!

Justin and I joined a group called Full-time Families before embarking on this journey in hopes of meeting other like-minded families with kiddos that our girls could have fun playing with. In December we finally had a chance to meet up with other families from this group!

As a last minute decision, based on advice from folks we talked to, we decided to spend a few days in the Sedona area on our way from Flagstaff to Phoenix. We’re glad we did, and we’re adding Sedona to our list of places-to-come-back-to! We explored the touristy shops downtown and found a great boon docking spot just outside the city.

After Salt Lake City, we hit the road to head toward Zion National Park. On the way we ended up finding a great spot to boon-dock for a night and enjoyed our first truly quiet night of the trip.

After returning from our 2 week Olympic Peninsula trip we spent two weeks at home before we got the itch to get out camping again. We headed out to Mt Hood National Forest for what was supposed to be an off-grid-campsite scouting trip… but things didn’t go exactly as planned…
